Like usual from Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have a ton of their storage already taken up before purchasing. Although these phones are offered in 32GB, the actual usable storage will only be 24GB as Android and Samsung’s TouchWiz take up 8GB of storage.
This is, of course, before you load on any of your apps or enter any personal information that still needs to be synced. Once you do all of that, the usable storage again decreases.
Before the Galaxy S7 came out, I expected this to be the case as my Galaxy S6 Edge has roughly 7-8GB of its 32GB storage taken up by the operating system. With the amount of features the phone has, it becomes annoying very quickly having to delete things to make more room. However, at least the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have microSD card slots. If you are planning on purchasing one of these phones, I definitely suggest picking up a large microSD card too.
